To replace the flint, simply pull the lighter out of the case and locate the flathead screw on the bottom. Remove the screw to find a spring and plunger attached to it. Drop the new flint into the threaded hole and reinsert the plunger behind it. Firmly tighten the screw back into place and put the lighter back into its case. It's as simple as that!

Once the new flint stone is inserted, rotate the flint wheel multiple times to ensure smooth spinning. If the wheel gets stuck, adjust the flint spring slightly clockwise or counterclockwise by screwing the brass lid so that it moves smoothly. If adjusting the spring doesn't work, rotate the flint wheel counterclockwise first and then quickly clockwise for a few times.
